Al Gore A Streetwise Pimp??

Would anyone have expected Al Gore to present himself as a comedy foil to the robot Bender from "Futurama"? He does just that in this ad to promote his movie "An Inconvenient Truth."

Dude, Al Gore appeared twice (I think twice) on Futurama, once hailing himself as the inventor of the internet. Never liked him because of that whole PMRC thing until that day.

  3. The connection, of course, is that one of his daughters was a writer (or some such) on the show. She also worked at one time for SNL, which helped pave the way for his appearances there.

  4. Kristin Gore (yes, his daughter) was story editor for Futurama. And last week the announcement was made that new Futurama episodes are ahead for Comedy Central.

And yeah, Al's appearance in the "Tales of Interest" episode was one of the best bits of Al's work.

Should he stay out of politics and remain on his path of producer - for Current TV and his movie on global warming?
