Very cool, indeed. But at the risk of ruining the magic trick by explaining how it's done, isn't lead a lot softer than steel? At any rate, a demonstration of the Samurai skills required to see the approaching bullet and position the sword so as to bisect and deflect it would be even more impressive!

in many ways Asian TV has outdone itself for broadcasting the most unusual and staged events, and i take too many guilty viewing pleasures. Sen. Ted Stevens "internet pipes" are vast expanses of the odd, much superior to the occasional touring circus or old That's Incredible hooey.
and not that i would, but in an actual combat mode, wouldn't it make more sense to aim for the one HOLDING the sword rather than the sword itself? heh heh
as you say, seeing an expert swordsman actually doing this trick would be the most impressive stunt.
as for me, i tend to never challenge someone wielding sword or gun. just a habit i have!
