Your focus is on conservative's reaction.<BR/><BR/>The paper stated, "we expect the writer to offer responsible, reasoned opinion" when giving their reason for dropping her.<BR/><BR/>Such an admirable expectation by all newspapers from their syndicated columnists would better serve their readers whether liberal or conservative.<BR/><BR/>Furthermore, your references to Tennessee and small towns give me the slight impression you assign a certain "less influental more conservative" (for a lack of a better terms) to these areas verses the traditional large metropolitian areas.
